Range with new warrant

Was already kind of happening in the morning. Wanted to darken my boots only to find out to my horror that the kiwi had turned hard. I know its suppose to be hard but this is the type of hardness which means its damaged! Anyway, improvised a bit and finally got the job done though it didn't really satisfy me.

This time, I made sure I reached HQ on time and ya, I did. I went to West office and slacked around a bit before drawing arms (as in M-16s) from the armoury. Luckily Suhardi came and helped out and that the new warrant officer was on the ball. Feeling tired now and I still haven't iron my uniform for tomorrow's training so I'll just type out briefly.

Main highlight today. Ammo arrived late. There was some cock up. Apparently the driver was not informed for the delivery and hence the latecoming.

Anyway, WO Teo impart some knowledge regarding the M-16. Like what's the difference between the M-16 and AR-15 (M-16 comes with forward assist). And also, he told us that the round that goes off from the weapon doesn't go straight. It will first dip and then rise and then dip again before reaching the target. He was saying something like at 25 meters range, the round will be off by -2.2 cm and at 100m, 0cm and at 250m, its +6.4cm if I'm not mistaken.

So managed to wrap things up at around 5.15pm. And Lt Rizal told me that by after 5.30pm, we should cease all live firing because just infront of the range at an angle of 45deg to the right is residential area. And like what most Singaporeans are famous for- complaining.

Pretty hectic today. But in the end, everything's fine. It will always be.

I get to so called close up to more SAF personnel today. And how wrong I was to think that some of them are arrogant, especially some of the SAF 2nd Lefts. Pretty great bunch of people la the NS people. But I did felt weird being the only CLT there because Suhardi alraedy left by then.

Other than NCC stuff, I got my timetable today and I must say it sort off sucks. But I'm still thankful that the earliest time I had to report to school is 9am. Meaning I won't have to wake up that early. I was hoping for a short Tuesday so that I could go for CSS NCC trainings in the afternoons. But no. It's still the same.

Talking about CSS NCC, I must say that I'll be very, absolutely dissapointed if after tomorrow, there will be no more NCC trainings till next year. This is what I mean when I say that CSS NCC lacks the support from the school. Be it moral or financial. It is like as if they want to destroy the NCC unit. If so, tell me. So I won't have to come back again. What a waste of time. Really pissed by this.

Got to go now. My green uniform's waiting.
