List of things for Part C 06

Wokay...some things regarding the Part C's...

DISCLAIMER: This is strictly for educational purposes.

It has been realised that the Part Cs this year are not performing up to the expectations. Behaviour wise, character wise and also thier ability to communicate and work soundly as one.

If you belong to the group above mentioned, you should take this seriously. Commonwealth NCC will get another silver next year or any worse results if you guys don't buck up.

You guys asked for freedom and so we give it to you since you're entitled to it. But see what's your response to the freedom. Simple tasks can't even be done. How can we ever entrust to you the lives of the over 50 cadets who are under you? I admit that I'm partly to blame because I haven't really been harsh enough. I will be harsh come next training. I can be very petty and most probably I will. All I was trying to do was to treat you all like my working partners. But you all can't even behave like a proper 15 year old.

In NCC, we have to be professional. Look at your rank. Look at the ARMY-NCC badge that you earn. What's all that for? For show? You guys are already trained enough. You guys are now leaders. Behave like one. Doesn't mean you don't have a so-called "good" post, you are not a leader. As long as you are from Part C, our juniors look at at you for example. They look at you for guidance. What is right and what is wrong.

And doesn't mean you are Part C, you all are big shots. If there are proper instructions given to you, do it. If it is something that needs to be done then do it. At this level, your co-operation is the essence of success for the company.

I was a Platoon Sergeant for my own part. For my own batch of guys. I was a sergeant and they don on the same rank as me (some are one bar less) and yet they can work together with me. In this kind of situation whereby the leader is of the same age as his own men, it requires a differnt approach. You can't just scold them or 'pump' them when they make mistakes. If you do that, you will for sure lose their respect and the matter will become worse instead. At the end of my life as a Sergeant back in secondary school, I was happy. Happy because I maintained a good relationship between myself and my platoonmates. You(refering to part c pc) have to understand them before they get to understand you. You scratch their back and they scratch yours. And whenever there is a problem, you cover their shit and they cover yours. You do things rationally, they will see it, and they will work with you willingly.

All the best to you guys, may god bless you (if I manage to turn into a monster).
