Home sweet home.

Yeah. Though I felt like staying. The life there is simpler. More beautiful sceneries. Cleaner air. Things are cheaper. You can afford a good meal with just 1USD. But of course, its 'just' only for people like us. For people like them, its not JUST 1USD.

I must say the stay there was pretty enriching. Nothing like I've experienced before. The mosquitoes and flies is their form of infantry; the largest force of any army. The project was okay. We did what we could. We ended a day earlier. And yeah, the lights were a success. :)

This time round(as said by Mr Cheah and Mr Andy) the kids were lesser, since its their Khmer new year. Most of them went back to their relatives. It was most unfortunate for the rest as their only home was the orphanage but hey, they got us! :D

Singaporean kids should go there and live their life for a while. Especially those spoilt brats. They'll cry I tell you. Since we left them on Friday morning, I can't help but to be reminded of them when eating my meals. Everytime I eat, this question keeps ringing; what are those kids eating? During our stay there, they told us the food is better when people like us, visitors, came to stay over for while. When we're gone, food will be downgraded back to normal. I can tell you the food wasn't that fantastic even when we are there.

Anyway, my stay there made me feel more thankful that I live here in Singapore. And I'm glad that I went there to contribute to their needs. What we have here such as food, water, decent shelter, proper clothes, education are luxuries over there. So yeah, moral of story, count your blessings.

Enough of that let's move on to a lighter note. I think I'll just go by the pictures.

Don't ask. I don't know what's that. Up to your imagination.

People making a living.

Kids on the streets.

Our bus went onto that ferry and brought us across the river. Cool.

Our room at the orphanage. Its pretty comfortable actually. Air-conditioned.

Sunrise. That's the orphanage from the outside.

Endless view of padi field opposite the orphanage.

Sunset.

Me with Sok Lian.

Drinking sugarcane. I had coke for a change. After that day, I drank at least one sugarcane everyday. My last was on the morning of Friday before we depart for Phnom Penh.Sunlight after the rain.

A typical day travlelling back after work.

Silver lining?

Eating by the roadside at dusk.

My very good mates.

Me and the padi field.

Me and friends!

Satay!

Got potential. Don't get me wrong. I'm no pidofile okay. LOL.

Peeping Tom. haha...

Nostalgic.

Me with some of the guys and Mr Cheah.

That's all for now. Will post more pictures later. Yeah.

I really enjoyed the trip. Thanks for the great time guys! :D If only we could rewind the experience.

No, you're not a pidofile; just a paedophile! Haha, lols...

On a more serious note, I guess (from reading your blog), we shld rlly treasure the things we might deem simple back here in Singapore. Haiz, ok... I don't wanna go through your experience to learn such things.

But on a lighter note, you're not a paedophile, I know - 'cos you like (so-and-so)! Piantai. top
